History of B & G Cleaning Systems
B & G CLEANING SYSTEMS LIMITED was originally known as B & G ENGINEERING & DESIGN which was established in February 1983.
B & G has been selling and servicing pressure washers and other industrial cleaning equipment since its beginning and has promoted most of the major manufacturers products.
In May 1990 the company became Limited and its name was changed to B & G Cleaning Systems Limited. At the time floor care equipment was introduced and subsequently B & G have become distributors for EDGE, NUMATIC, CIMEX, CLARKE, NSS, & TRUVOX Products, amongst others.
In December 1991 B & G moved to a new purpose built building at Atherstone in Warwickshire and since that time has continued to grow to increase its share of the cleaning equipment market, particularly in the Midlands area.
A national pressure washer service system is now in place, by co-ordination of more than twenty five companies across the country. This is through a Co-operative Company known as EDGE Ltd. The extensive range of EDGE cleaning products are now promoted foremost, as the collective purchasing power of the group enables us to offer equipment at very competitive prices.
Cleaning Equipment Manufacturers
B & G also manufactures its own centralised cleaning systems and chemical dilution control equipment.
Over the past fifteen years B & G has designed and built many centralised pressure cleaning systems which have been installed in the main to food & beverage production companies throughout the UK & Ireland. Many of these systems are being maintained by the EDGE network
Cleaning Equipment Distribution Centres
In the summer of 1998 B&G decided to expand its operations with the opening of a new depot at Marchington in Staffordshire and Dudley in the West Midlands. From these depots we are able to extend our geographical boundaries, enabling us to promote the EDGE range of equipment into Staffordshire & Derbyshire and the Black Country, and offering any new customers local service.
The three depots, Atherstone with over 7500 sq/ft , Marchington with 2200 sq/ft and Dudley with 2000sq/ft employ totally 29 staff. Due to the relatively short distance between the three depots we are easily able to call upon the resources, experience & knowledge of the staff from either depot as well as offering back up on a national basis through the Edge network.
A major benefit to all depots, was the decision in June 1998 for the head quarters of EDGE to move to Burton on Trent in Staffordshire. This has obvious advantages to B&G which now has its major supplier sandwiched between its two depots. Our customers can also benefit due to parts or equipment not in stock can be collected within minutes if required.
Our aim is to continue to expand our cleaning equipment product range and services, focussing on quality products, safety and customer satisfaction. As experts in the cleaning equipment field, our clients know that they can rely on us for expert advice and cost effective cleaning solutions.
