History of B&G Cleaning Systems
B&G Cleaning Systems Ltd was originally known as B&G Engineering and Design, which was established in February 1983. Initially the company manufactured chemical dilution valves for the cleaning industry but gradually through the 1980’s moved the core of the business to the sales & service of pressure washers. Originally the company sold the KEW range of machines, but added a host of major brands such as Kranzle, Prochem & Numatic to the line-up by the end of the decade.
In May 1990 the company became Limited and its name was changed to B&G Cleaning Systems Limited which better reflected the company’s activities. At that time floor care equipment was introduced to the range and B&G became distributors of floor scrubber dryers & sweepers for, Cimex, Clarke, NSS, & Truvox Products, amongst others.
In December 1991 B&G moved to new purpose-built premises at Atherstone in Warwickshire with larger showroom space and better equipped service workshops. Since that time the company has continued to grow and increase its share of the cleaning equipment market, particularly in the Midlands area.
Cleaning Equipment Manufacturers
In the early 1990s the company saw an opportunity to move into the manufacture of centralised cleaning systems. Using the experience gained from the original engineering side of the business and having previously sold the KEW system, the B&G MPA pressure washing system was developed. This system is now recognised as a market leader, particularly in the food industry and is currently installed in many blue-chip food processing facilities both in the UK and abroad.
Leading Cleaning Equipment Suppliers
By the late 1990s B&G had become one of the UK’s largest independent cleaning machinery suppliers. The range now included dry steam and window cleaning equipment to compliment the existing pressure washers, floorcare, vacuums & carpet cleaners.
In the summer of 1998, B&G decided to expand its operations further with the opening of a new depot at Marchington in Staffordshire taking its expertise to a new geographical area. This depot also became the home of our well stocked hire department.
Into the twenty first century the business continues to expand, and now partners with most of the world’s leading brands of cleaning equipment. Both Nilfisk and Karcher, the world’s two largest cleaning equipment manufacturers, have chosen B&G to represent them in the Midlands region. The more recent addition of further brands such as Matrix, i-mop, Viper, MAC and Ehrle give our customers the widest choice of cleaning equipment currently available.
The company also employs one of the largest fleets of mobile service engineers in the UK dealer network enabling fast response times and first-class backup to all B&G customers. We also work with other premium rated equipment dealers throughout the country to enable a UK wide service.
B&G continues to expand its cleaning equipment product range and services, focusing on quality products, safety and customer satisfaction. As experts in the cleaning equipment field, our customers know that they can rely on B&G for expert advice and cost-effective cleaning solutions.
