As hire manager, I’m responsible for

  • Providing front line support for all cleaning equipment hire enquiries
  • Advising on suitable equipment for customer needs
  • Providing hire quotes and additional information, processing orders
  • Ensuring that pre-hire service checks are carried out
  • Arranging for equipment to be delivered or ready for customer collection on time

I’ve worked in the cleaning equipment industry for over 20 years, initially for Edge, and I’ve worked in B&G’s hire department at Marchington for 6 years. With an in-depth knowledge of all of the cleaning equipment on our hire fleet, I understand what each machine is best suited for.

Cleaning equipment hire – help and advice

Quite often, customers wanting to hire a machine aren’t quite sure what they need, they just know what they want to clean. That’s no problem at all! When you make a hire enquiry with B&G, you will most likely speak to me, and I’ll ask you about the cleaning job you want to complete, so that I can advise you on the most suitable machine to meet your needs, then put the arrangements in place for you.

I work closely with the Service Engineer team to ensure that when we hire machines out, they are in good working order, are ready for collection / delivery on time and, most importantly, will do the job effectively. We always let customers know how to operate the machines and can also supply detergents or chemicals if required.

We have a comprehensive range of robust cleaning machines on our hire fleet, all of which are tried and tested by us, and we expand our range on a regular basis, based on what customers are looking to hire.

Things I’m proud of

Providing an effective and efficient hire service! Cleaning equipment hire is often required at short notice and we do our best to react as quickly as possible. The feedback from customers is always very good, and on the rare occasions when things go wrong, customers know that they can call me and I’ll get things resolved for them.

When I’m not at work, I enjoy watching sport, walking my dog and listening to live music (I’m a bit of a heavy metal fan).
