Tennant are one of the world’s leading floor cleaning machine manufacturers whose machines can be seen working around the globe, in airports, hotels, factories and a wide variety of other commercial and industrial environments
Since its humble beginnings in the late nineteenth century, Tennant has developed into a technology driven Twenty first century company leading the way in providing efficient and environmentally friendly floor cleaning equipment. For carpets there are a range of vacuums (conventional and back pack) and carpet extractors to ensure deep down cleaning. Decorative finished floors can be enhanced by the range of floor polishers available, from the F5 to the 2550. Hard surface floors can be cleaned using an outstanding series of sweepers and scrubber dryers with pedestrian models suitable for small areas and tight areas to larger ride-on machines for larger premises. All Tennant floor cleaners are built to the highest specification using the latest available technology and are renowned for their innovation.
With the environment at the top of the concerns facing the modern world and, as a leading company in the floor cleaning industry, Tennant have developed revolutionary systems to decrease the use of chemicals without any loss of cleaning power.
This system uses a cartridge containing cleaning agent which is then mixed with water and air to form foam which is applied by the scrubber to the floor surface which is then cleaned. This method reduces the use of solution by 70% and the use of water by 90% and has the additional advantage of increasing cleaning efficiency.
This is a method for cleaning floors which employs no chemicals at all. By oxygenating the water and then applying an electric current the water is turned temporarily into charged acidic and alkaline water which has the properties of a powerful chemical cleaner and can work through the dirt on the floor. After 45 seconds the water returns to its normal state and is returned, with the collected grime, to the recovery tank which contains only dirty water without chemicals. This system uses 70% less water than conventional systems and has none of the disadvantages of strong chemical usage and the problems of disposal.
