Power Pressure Washers

The power pressure washer is an important machine in the modern industrial environment. Used in a variety of sectors such as agriculture, transport, food production and building, it has become a regular part of an efficient cleaning regime. Within the broad term of a power pressure washer there are many variations to suit diverse applications and there are factors to consider before selecting the best machine for the job.

Know everything there is to know about Power Pressure Washers before you buy them

Pressure or Flow?

It is an easy assumption to make, that the most important aspect of a power pressure washer is the amount of pressure exerted. For example if you were cleaning a large hard surface area, a lower pressure, high water flow rate would be the best. Always consider the flow rate of a machine as it is important as pressure, and gives the operator more options.

Hot or Cold Water?

The hot water power pressure washer is best for the removal of tough or non water soluble dirt such as grease or oil. The washing efficiency of hot water is greater than that of cold and generally there is a shorter drying time. The hot water washer is more complex and therefore more expensive both to buy and to run, so it may be a luxury if a cold water washer is adequate for the task.

Portable or Static?

Where there is a requirement for regular clean up, then a static machine may be preferable. The controls of the machine can be set to the optimum to deliver the cleaning water, which prevents operator misuse. A static machine is always there and available for work, whereas a portable may be elsewhere on site or not available. The advantages of a portable machine are that it can be moved around site and used where needed. Both of these machines can be independently powered meaning, for a portable machine it can be used off site as well.

Bells or Whistles?

There are a variety of options available on power pressure washers, such as anti scale devices, total stop facility or steam but bear in mind the most important thing that the machine is well constructed and built to last.
