Centralised Cleaning Systems

Industrial Cleaning Equipment

What would you classify as Industrial Cleaning Equipment?

Industrial Cleaning Equipment can be something as simple as a broom or as complicated as a bespoke centralised integrated system. Industrial processes have become more complex and cleaning equipment has naturally followed suit, so there are now a variety of machines on the market for different applications.

Floor Cleaning Equipment

In any industrial environment the floor is the most obvious area that will require cleaning. The simplest method to clean floors (apart from a broom) would be a vacuum cleaner. Vacuum cleaners in a domestic situation are used on carpets or smooth flooring, whereas in an industrial setting the floor could be concrete and the debris being removed might be in large pieces or sometimes liquid. Industrial vacuum cleaners therefore come in a variety of sizes and duties depending on the job they will be required for. Large areas would be more suitable for an industrial sweeper either pedestrian operated or ride – on for very large areas.
Vacuum cleaners and sweepers will only remove surface debris or liquid so if residue is more adherent to the surface or there is a lot of traffic, a scrubber drier may be required. This equipment has rotating brushes which together with water agitate the dirt away from the surface and suck it into the body of the machine. As with the sweepers, scrubbers vary in size and can be pedestrian operated or ride-on machines.

Other Industrial Cleaning Equipment

Industrial Cleaning Equipment encompasses more than floor cleaning of course. There are other areas such as machinery, vehicles, brickwork etc. which require cleaning and for these applications a pressure washer may be the most appropriate. This equipment forces a jet of water on to the area to be cleaned to dislodge the dirt for disposal. The pressure washer can use cold water or hot and may have a detergent applicator fitted dependent upon requirement. Pressure washers are available as portable or static units. For deep cleaning where there are more specific sanitary requirements a steam cleaner could be used which cleans more thoroughly into the surface.

Specialist cleaning systems

There is other industrial cleaning equipment available which takes the form of a bespoke solution such as a centralised cleaning system where hoses and cleaning lances work from a ring main system.
The use of technology in the field of industrial cleaning equipment has grown alongside the advances in industrial processes. The variety of machines available is extensive and is such that there is a machine for every application, to ensure that cleaning can be carried out efficiently and effectively.

There are a wide range of cleaning solutions available for a variety of processes and situations and B & G Clean would be pleased to advise on these and any of the products above.
