Centralised Cleaning Systems

High Pressure Cleaner

To clean surfaces where dirt and grime are stubborn and cannot be cleaned by normal washing, for instance with a hose, the answer often is to use a high pressure cleaner. This unit is normally connected to a water supply and the water passes through a pump to be expelled at pressure through a cleaning lance which removes the unwanted deposits from the surface. The cleaning lance has a trigger which controls the flow of water and enables the operator to direct the jet. There are different types of high pressure cleaner to suit various applications, for example a high pressure cleaner used with a turbo lance is a very effective method of grafitti removal

Cold Water High Pressure Cleaners

A cold water pressure cleaner is well known as an effective cleaning tool both domestically and in the industrial environment. The basic type of pressure cleaner or washer uses cold water and varies in size from small, suitable for domestic applications, to larger units for industrial use. The domestic sized unit would typically be electric powered and portable (within the constraints of the plug lead) and suitable for patio cleaning and car washing. There are then a range of cleaners up to the large static machines which can be wall mounted. Some of the larger cold water high pressure cleaners are portable and self contained in that they have their own motor, driven by petrol or diesel, so the are not restricted by the plug lead.

Hot Water High Pressure Cleaners

Where cold water cleaning is not the ideal solution for some difficult stains then a hot water pressure cleaner is often the answer to the problem. Water is delivered in the same way as the cold water washers but the unit heats the water before it is delivered to the surface. The range of products available is again large. Some units can deliver cleaning chemicals with the water to enhance cleaning and some of the larger units have their own energy and water supply to make them completely self contained.

High pressure cleaning principles can be incorporated into a purpose built designed system where the pumps and water supply are incorporated into a ring main system with hose points on it for the cleaning lance, suitable for its application.
