Factory Floor Cleaning

The modern workplace has changed out of recognition from the grimy, oily environment of yesteryear. Some of this is down to a change in processes and a fall in the preponderance of heavy industry, but is also because of the change in cleaning methods and techniques which have evoloved to reflect the modern concern for cleanliness and hygiene. In any commercial environment, the floor is the main repository for the dirt and detritus that naturally occur as a result of industrial activity and human traffic, and to combat this there are machines to help in cleaning up.

Floor Sweepers for Factories

To clean a factory floor is an onerous task and cannot be done well without the aid of a machine. To clean up surface debris, mechanical floor sweepers have been developed to meet the challenge. These machines operate by using a system of rotating brushes which literally sweep the dirt back into a holding vessel for later disposal. The range of these machines is such that there is one for every application. They can be pedestrian operated and smaller for dealing with narrow or difficult to access areas, or larger ride on varieties for dealing with larger spaces. Sweepers are designed not only for their efficiency but are also relatively easy to operate to take reduce operator fatigue.

Floor Scrubber Driers

Whilst sweeping alone may be sufficient for the clean up, it may be that a deeper clean will be required. To that end the scrubber drier has been developed which washes, scrubs and dries the floor. It operates in a similar fashion to the sweeper with a system of rotating brushes; however, in this case water and detergent are introduced to be worked into the floor surface. The resultant residues is then removed by an arrangement of squeegees and, sometimes vacuum, into a holding tank. One advantage of the scrubber drier is that it reduces the time taken for cleaning and any consequent downtime. Like sweepers they can be pedestrian or ride on and come in a variety of sizes dependent upon requirements.
