Hot Pressure Washer
In the industrial and commercial environment there is no better aid to assist in the cleaning necessary for good housekeeping than the pressure washer, and its effectiveness is increased when it is a hot water version.
Why a Hot Pressure Washer?
A hot water pressure washer is ideally suited to the removal of oily or adherent dirt in the shortest time possible. Depending on the type of dirt, hot water can be up to 50% more efficient than cold water and has a shorter drying time. An additional advantage of a hot water pressure washer over a cold water version is that there is a reduction in the chemicals used, which lowers the cost of cleaning. These machines are used in a variety of industries such as agriculture, food and building, because of their ability to deal with oily dirt and fats as well as ingrained dirt such as that found on building equipment.
Different types of Hot Pressure Washer
As can be imagined hot pressure washers are available in a wide range of sizes and configurations. They are often portable but, where there is a regular cleaning requirement, can be static. The advantage of this type is that it is always ready and the controls can be pre set to ensure optimum performance. The portable version can be mains or sometimes independently engine powered often with its own water storage tank for offsite cleaning. A hot pressure washer works by heating the water as it leaves the pump and some models have the facility to make steam. By reducing the water pressure but keeping the burner working, the temperature of the water is raised above boiling point to create steam. The steam, which has high water content, provides extra cleaning power to remove really stubborn marks like graffiti etc. This type of steam does not have the sanitation qualities of a purpose made dry steam cleaner but is an invaluable extra resource in the fight against grime. Hot pressure washers can be incorporated into a centralised system where a number of cleaning lances operate off a centrally pumped ring main system.
